Julie Collett
Julie lived in Kinglake for the past 37 years. She participated in, and enjoyed opening her home studio in, all the Dindi Open Studio events.
She has been an active committee member of Kinglake Ranges Art for many years and remains with the group under the new name of Kinglake Regional Arts.
Julie was also part of the team to pilot Dindi Open Studios and remains active on this committee too.
Julie has recently moved to Whittlesea and her studio takes center stage at the front of her house.
Beginning as a ceramic artist in the 1980's, this paved her way for exploration into other mediums.
Julie’s joy is in drawing and urban sketching.
Painting in watercolour and acrylics has been the main focus for a few years.
Recently a print making workshop in etching has expanded her love with drawing.
“Art is like Life a journey of discovery and growth. Art gives meaning to our lives and helps us understand our world.”
